The Truth About Wireless Systems Home Theater

Now, before going any further, it is worth noting that today’s wireless home theater systems are not actually wireless. It would be fair to say that they consist of fewer wires rather than actually being wireless. Still, any reduction in the massive and often tangled web of audio and video cables that accompany a typical home theater system is welcomed. In practicality, the wireless tag usually will pertain to the system’s speakers. The idea of sending additional audio signals across a room via a wireless link is beginning to emerge, but for the moment, wireless speakers is all that are readily available.

While wireless home theater systems are still relatively new, there are still plenty of systems out there to choose from. Sony offers the DAV-FX999W as well as the DAV-LF1. Both play DVD’s, normal CD’s, various music files as well as the superior audio quality of SACD’s. Modern day electronic manufacture LG has the DA-W5100 and the LH-W753TA respectively. These models also play various audio and video formats as well. Other respected electronic companies like Pioneer and JVC also have wireless systems. These systems are popular for many different reasons. Firstly, they are easy to set up. Secondly, once you set it up, you are ready to go. No more waiting for the right speaker systems, no more looking for the necessary cable, just take it out of the box, make a few connections and you are good to go. Lastly, many of these systems are rather easy on the eyes as well.

While a true wireless system does not exist yet, most people in the know would agree that total wireless home theater systems are in the works and will be on store shelves sooner rather than later. Till then, the current incarnation of wireless systems will have to do. However, with the quality and convenience of these current systems, simply making do never sounded or looked better.
