Great surround sound system. I was surprised about how well the wireless back speakers worked. My experience with past systems always had a delay on the wireless back speakers, but I do not notice any delay or degredation of sound quality for being wireless. The system definitely has a faster load time than my previous Blu-Ray players. I did have a hitch starting Game of Thrones on this player. It would not actually play the disc until I changed the settings on the Blu-Ray player to allow full access. There are a lot of things to do on their online premium Smart TV app. My only gripe so far is that Amazon Instant Video is missing from the lineup for some reason. LG advertises and Amazon is available, but evidently it is only on select systems. I would have thought this unit would have had it since it is a 2012 model.

I love this system. Everything hooked up and worked perfectly on the first try. One thing u should know is that speaker placement is critical for optimum sound.

The system seems to be great except that my wireless rear speaker router comes on and off every 3-5 seconds. The blue light isn’t always on and its extremely annoying seeing as how the sole reason that I bought this system was for the wireless rear speakers. I am thinking that maybe it has a short because unplugging the router and plugging it back in has no effect on the blue power light coming on or off. I can hear a click in the box when it changes from working to not working. Other then that the system seems to be good.

Just received this on Friday and hooked it up to our new Bose environmental outdoor speakers 251 putting out 200 watts per channel. Hooked up Itouch ipod to it, was working great at first, but then unit started going haywire until it ultimately FROZE and none of the operations worked properly. Called their support office today and was informed that this unit is NOT compatible with Itouch ipod models and it will short out the unit if you try to dock it in the included dock on the top. The dock on the top is made for older generation ipod models. However, you can purchase a universal ipod doc that hooks up to the back of the unit via RCA outputs if you want to use this unit with Itouch ipod. Doing this will charge the Itouch, but then in order to hear your songs you may also have to hook up the Itouch via the Ipod/Mp3 jack on the front of the unit. Once this is hooked up properly, the sounds is AMAZING for the Bose speakers that we have! It’s reallly incredible and sounds like an outdoor concert. I only gave it three stars because the manual has no directions in it and no way of knowing that if you try to connect Itouch into the ipod dock that it will short out the unit. Had we known that from the beginning in the item description or the manual it would have saved us a lot of headaches trying to figure out what the problem was! Also, another FYI, the technical support agent suggested purchasing their lower end model P1001AT that DOES NOT have the ipod dock at the top if you are going to strictly use an ITOUCH ipod with it. Again, you would just have to purchase a separate universal ipod doc.

I have had this Amp for about six months now. Very Powerful. Sound is Explosive ! Using Bose Speakers (201 series) WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons – When cranking it UP, The Fan must run to keep the system cool. Kinda loud when listing to a movie. Also you Can not turn system on or off with the remote. (It is a push power button).
This system is not for the weak. It is made to be played Loud.

THE GOOD: The Pyle P1002AI is easy to set up; it looks good; and it is small enough to take on the road. Very good Loudness Filter; it really boosts the bass at normal, human sound volume levels. Also, you can’t beat the price.
THE BAD: The iPod dock connection is too loose. The loose connection generates noise. The male-to-male cable provided is also off-spec. I bought a Belkin cable and solved the problem. Fan noise? What fan noise? I can’t hear it.
THE ROWDY: This amplifier ROCKS! Hook it up to a pair of Bose bookshelf speakers and stand back. Way back–like down the block. Thank God for the remote. My garage is now the neighborhood tavern, and my driveway hosts the block parties. Take this amp, a pair of power-loving speakers, and a loaded iPod to your favorite beach or picnic grounds, and you will not lose the stereo war. Hook up a powered subwoofer, turn the Loudness Filter off, crack open a beer, and crank up the volume.

This cable is made of shielded RG6 coax cable with gold RCA ends. The ends fit snug and won’t rattle out of your sub or reciever. The sound quality is perfect. It is not the most flexible of cables but that shouldn’t really matter. You can’t beat them for the price. I’m happy. Don’t waist a ton of money on “premium cables” that will not sound any better.

“A cable is a cable,” you say? Well not this one. It surpasses your ordinary RCA cable by far. While most RCA cables plug in and remain relatively loose and… friction free, this cable grips the terminal very nicely. Thanks to the tighter connection with the terminal, there is a lot more friction which means that the cable is making contact and connecting much better than your standard RCA cable. Gold ends and double shielding to boot make this cable a great choice for a subwoofer cable for your new, or existing, home theater system.

agree with other reviewers… just the matter of inserting it first time, all set. But its not too big (only 8 ft) and not so flexible (its thick), so mobility is not great. But if you are 1 like me who will keep subwoofer in close proximity (as my home allows), it is for you… can’t beat the price. Sound quality is as good as 1 from best buy (dynex) which I returned as it costs double…

The system was not very expensive, but you can tell. The iPod dock is why I bought it, but it wouldn’t play most of my playlists because they were too big. The wires for the speakers are connected. You can’t disconnect them. I haven’t seen anything like it since I had a boombox in the 1980′s. I haven’t played a DVD or CD yet. I assume it works OK. The sound is not that bad. If you want something more sophisticated, you have to pay for it.

First, I must complain, this was the first ever device purchased from Amazon that I got with a defect; the DVD tray won’t open… I bought this for a client, I liked the sound quality so I’m getting another one for me and replace the client’s receiver with my new one, crossing fingers… Now with the facts you care:
Something no one ever post on reviews of these DVD Home Theaters: this indeed will work with your current Blu-ray player. Since it has Optical Digital cable input, you can connect it from the receiver to the Blu-ray via Optical cable and it will deliver full 5.1 sorround, great with Inception! The bad thing is, since is not 7.1, Blu-rays that won’t have the 5.1 sound option on it, you won’t hear a thing.
Button line, via optical cable this will work on your Blu-ray, HDTV or any other device with this source, or, you can use the component cables, just make sure you buy an optical cable and extra HDMI with this device.
It sounds great in a 3.5m x 3.5m living room. It will hook up to Blu-ray player, altough you won’t get sound with 7.1 audio sources.
Hope this can help those who can not pay [...] or more for a Home Theater, like myself.

My wife got this for me as a birthday present. I was very please with it. Sounds quality is great, almost shakes the pictures off our walls. I have my video games and cable tv running through it and it works great. I haven’t not had any problems with it at all. I would recommend it to other people if they are looking for a decent surround sound.
